Demonstrating Connected Spaces at the White House

Any Summer plans? Well, Senseware welcomed Summer by demonstrating various capabilities at a private event sponsored by the White House on June 10 as part of the SmartAmerica Summit! We showcased how advanced sensors and wireless technologies can be used to create connected safe living spaces that are available to everyone at low cost. Senseware is connected in a live residential building in Montgomery County in Maryland and demonstrates how our Air Quality (CO2, Temperature, & Humidity) Sensor, Light Exposure Sensor, and Power Sensor installed in several apartments with elderly can create healthier and safer environments.

We also showed how combining Senseware with other systems can trigger emergency alerts that emergency responders at remote locations receive in real-time, creating smarter and safer communities. Senseware has teamed up with folks from UC-Irvine, MIT, IBM, Twilio, SigFox, Schneider Electric, Maryland Montgomery Housing Partnership, Maryland Montgomery County, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on this SCALE (Safe Community Alert Network) project.
